College of DuPage to host Chaparral Family Day Sept. 17
Join the College of DuPage Foundation for Chaparral Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 17, and enjoy outdoor activities for the entire family, including inflatables, food trucks, a bags competition, live music and face painting.
The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. outside the Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium on the college's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
In addition, cheer on the Chaparrals as they take on Detroit Community College at 2 p.m.
Chaparral Family Day is the culmination of a week of events, including:

• Thursday, Sept. 15
COD student and podcast host Jordan Vargas will host "Campus Conversations" featuring Rodney Pryor, an NBA basketball player, business owner, author and mentor at 7 p.m. at the McAninch Arts Center. Vargas will talk to Pryor about his journey from community college to the NBA. Tickets are $10 and proceeds from the event will benefit the COD Succeeds Scholarship Fund. Honor COD alumni for their outstanding achievements at this year's Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony at the McAninch Arts Center.
