Hills come alive with the sound of music and ski jumps this weekend

On Saturday, Oct. 3, and Sunday, Oct. 4, ski jumpers from around the country will gather on the grounds of one of the most historic ski jumping complexes in North America to compete in the annual fall ski jumping championships out at Norge Ski Club in Fox River Grove.

The jumping begins on Saturday featuring jumpers of ages as young as 5 years old and progressing to larger and larger hills including many of the top jumpers in our country. Following the jumping at around 4 p.m., there will be an exciting concert featuring four of the areas top bands. Alex and the All Stars followed by Blues Daddys, Goin' South and concluding with Kevin Purcell and the Nightburners. The music will go till around 10:30 p.m.
