How are the electronics recycled?

Electronics are processed through a large shredder that is 1/3 of a football field long, 2 stories high and 7 yards wide. During the shredding process the electronics are sorted into steel, aluminum, plastic and circuit boards and are sold to consumers for recycling.

Should I be concerned about sensitive information on computer hard drives?

Because Acme Electronic Recycling destruction process is shredding rather than dismantling, all confidential information is destroyed during our process.

What types of electronics can I bring to be recycled?
