Wheaton North 6, Glenbard East 0: Ed Norris (4-4) pitched a 4-hitter with 5 strikeouts and no walks for the Falcons (22-9, 12-7 DuPage Valley Conference). Reece Butler and Dale Trimble each went 2-for-3. Anil Patel went 2-for-3 for Glenbard East (4-23, 3-16).
Naperville North 8, West Chicago 6: Charlie White, Mariano Long and Idris Hanidu each had 3 hits and combined for 6 RBI for the Huskies (25-6, 15-4) in their DuPage Valley Conference win. Matt LaCosse improved to 6-0 on the mound. Al Robbins, Blair Skarin and Ben Orr went 2-for-3 for West Chicago (10-18, 4-15).
Willowbrook 6, Glenbard West 5: Trailing 5-2 heading to the top of the seventh, Willowbrook (22-10) scored 5 runs to pull out the nonconference victory. Danny Fahlgren went 2-for-4 with an RBI while T.J. Arguello (1-0) won in relief. Tom Alt went 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI for Glenbard West (13-17).
Hinsdale Central 6, Addison Trail 0: Carson Elmore (2-1) pitched a 1-hitter with 2 strikeouts and 4 walks for the Red Devils (16-12) in their nonconference win. Jack Hellwig went 3-for-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI while John Ellis went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
Timothy Christian 13, Austin 3: The Trojans advanced to the Class 2A Walther Lutheran regional semifinals by seizing control with a 6-run first inning. Winning pitcher Nate Tameling, who struck out 10, walked none and allowed 2 hits, went 2-for-4 along with Johnathon VanByssum and Ben Cook. Timothy Christian will play top-seeded Immaculate Conception Wednesday in Melrose Park.
Downers South 12, Proviso West 0: Matt Wivinis (5-1) allowed a hit and walked one over 4 innings of the five-inning nonconference victory by the Mustangs (28-5). Wivinis, Kyle Engel and Dan Walsh each had 3 hits and combined for 5 RBI.
West Aurora 4, WW South 0: Joey Tedeschi doubled for the Tigers (15-16, 8-11) in their DuPage Valley Conference loss.
Westminster Christian 5, Wheaton Academy 4: Drew Sandberg went 2-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs for the Warriors (20-12), who lost the nonconference game when Westminster Christian scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Tate Fritz and Trevor Swaney had 2 hits apiece.
