Elgin Academy to hold annual dinner, auction March 19

Elgin Academy's 34th annual Extravaganza Dinner and Auction will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at the Chicago Marriott Northwest, 4800 Hoffman Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.

This is one of the largest and most successful fund-raising events in the Chicago suburbs. This year's theme is "Unlimited Horizons."

The purpose of our fund-raising event, Extravaganza is to raise financial support for academic programs, equipment and technology upgrades, professional development of faculty, athletics and the arts.

More than 250 guests at the event will pay $125 per person to enjoy a gourmet dinner and take part in a fabulous auction which raises approximately $150,000 annually for the academy.

Attendees at Extravaganza are parents of current and former students, alumni, and guests; as a group, they are financially and socially able as well as influential.

Elgin Academy is an independent, coeducational day school for students in preschool through 12th grade.

The academy's 425 students come from 35 towns located in five Fox Valley area counties -- towns such as Elgin, St. Charles, Wayne, Geneva, Barrington, Bartlett, and Crystal Lake. One hundred percent of the academy's graduates matriculate to college.
