COD to Host Free Seminar for Seniors on Financial Crimes Oct. 22

College of DuPage will host a free seminar designed to educate attendees about financial crimes targeting seniors. This session will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, in the Homeland Security Education Center (HSTI) on the College's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

Funded through a grant provided by Motorola Solutions, this seminar is free and open to the public.

During this program, attendees will learn about various frauds and scams aimed at seniors including advance fee schemes, funeral and bereavement scams, identity theft, letter of credit fraud, Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes and prime bank note fraud.
