College of DuPage's sixth annual 'Big Idea' pitch contest returns April 13 online

College of DuPage students, recent alumni and local district high school students will compete for a top prize of $5,000 during its sixth annual "Big Idea" pitch contest from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13.

The competition is hosted in partnership with Innovation DuPage, College of DuPage Continuing Education and the COD Foundation. To apply or learn more about the 2022 Big Idea Pitch Contest at College of DuPage, visit www.innovationdupage.com/bigidea.

Free and open to the public, the virtual event will be livestreamed on Innovation DuPage's Facebook page.

Participants must apply online by midnight Sunday, March 6, on a product or service that can satisfy the needs of a growing market.

A 2- to 3-minute video must be completed for each presentation as well. Finalists will be notified on Tuesday, March 15, if chosen to pitch in the final round.

Finalists representing a broad range of industries will make business presentations to a panel of experts.

In addition to the top prize, the competition will include a second-place prize of $4,000 and a third-place prize of $3,000. Winners also will receive a six-month Innovation DuPage membership.
