COD Middle East Committee to Host Free Film Screening of ‘A Separation’ Nov. 14

The Middle East Committee at College of DuPage will host a special screening of “A Separation” from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, in the Berg Instructional Center, Room 2504, on the College’s main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., in Glen Ellyn.

Written and directed by Asghar Farhadi, “A Separation” is a drama set in contemporary Iran about the dissolution of a marriage, the legal system in Iran, and the relationship between parents and children. The film is the first Iranian film to win a Golden Globe for the Best Foreign Language Film, the first Iranian film to win an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and the first film ever to win three Bears from the Berlin International Film Festival.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Middle East Committee at College of DuPage explores the richly diverse cultures of the Middle Eastern region and presents perspectives on current events in the area through an academic viewpoint.
