Wheat Café, Culinary Market to Open for Fall Term

The student-run Wheat Café at College of DuPage will open for fall term on Wednesday, Sept. 5, and the Culinary Market is set to open on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Wheat Café will be open on Wednesdays for dinner and Thursdays and Fridays for lunch through Nov. 30. The Culinary Market sells items made by students and will be open from noon to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 29.

The three-course lunch at Wheat Café costs $15, and reservations can be made for 11:15, 11:30 or 11:45 a.m. seatings. The four-course dinner costs $22, and reservations can be made for 6:45, 7 or 7:15 p.m. seatings. View this fall's menu!

Located in the Culinary & Hospitality Center, Wheat Café is a 60-seat casual dining restaurant staffed by Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, and Hospitality Management students. Students use fresh regional and seasonal ingredients in their American cuisine, and menus change each month.

The menu at the Culinary Market, also located in the CHC next to Wheat Café, changes daily and is tied to the curriculum of several classes.
