COD Hosts Guest Lecturer Dr. Honorine Ngou April 10
Dr. Honorine Ngou, professor of French Literature and Civilization at the Université Omar Bondo, Libreville, Gabon, will discuss the role of women in both traditional and modern Gabonese society from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, in the Student Services Center, Room 3245, at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.
Ngou, a political activist and author, has written five books. In addition to her scholarly works, Ngou's two novels, “The Forbidden Feminine” and “Afep: The Seductive Strangler,” also focus on the roles for women in Gabon.
Prior to Ngou's presentation, COD Humanities Professor Julia diLiberti will offer her perceptions of Gabon from her trip there last spring.
