COD hosts free session on elder law March 27

The College of DuPage Foundation, in conjunction with COD Continuing Education Lifelong Learning, will host “Elder Law: Preparing for the Challenges Ahead” on Tuesday, March 27, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Student Resource Center, Room 2800.

This seminar is free and open to the community.

The session will be hosted by COD alum Carol Nolan, J.D., who specializes in estate planning, elder law, Medicaid, disability issues, guardianship, and probate and trust administration. During the session, Nolan will provide information on preparing for life's challenges during later years in life. Specifically, she will cover planning for disability; protecting assets while providing for assisted living and nursing home care; and maximizing assets that will be passed on to family members.

Nolan is a 1992 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Northern Illinois University, a recipient of the 1992 most outstanding woman graduate award, and a 1995 graduate of the NIU College of Law. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association, DuPage Association of Women Lawyers and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Registration is limited for this session.
