Join 'STEM Movie and Arcada Tour Night' Aug. 15

Three Fires Council-Boy Scouts of America invites Scouts, families and friends to attend the "Three Fires Council STEM Movie and Arcada Tour Night" on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Everyone will get a tour of the historic Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St. in St. Charles, and then view the DisneyNatures film "Oceans." In this G-rated movie, filmmakers Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud set out to explore the underwater world.

The cost is $5 per person. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

The tour will start at 6:30 p.m. with the movie to follow. The concession stand will be open for families to purchase snacks and drinks.

You don't have to be a Scout to attend and take advantage of this opportunity. Scouts, families and friends are all welcome.

By touring the Arcada and viewing DisneyNature's "Ocean," Cub Scouts will meet several STEM NOVA Award requirements: Down & Dirty 1a, Wild 1a, Tech Talk 4, 4a1 and 5.
