Sign up now for Habitat's 25th annual Walkathon

Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley will hold its 25th annual Walkathon on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.

The nonprofit homebuilder is working toward a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

All participants are asked to register via FirstGiving prior to the event. Visit www.habitatnfv.org.

Day-of registration opens at 7:30 a.m. with the walk starting at 8 a.m. Everyone is welcome at this event, either as a team or as an individual. Participants will enter through mall entrance 1 between Nordstrom and JCPenney.

Raise $25 by Monday, Feb. 6, and receive a walkathon T-shirt.

The goal is to raise $7,500. Teams nominate a captain to help organize fundraising and team member efforts. The team that fundraisers the largest amount of money will receive recognition at the awards ceremony and in post-event publications. The top 12 fundraisers over the age of 16 will be invited to a special build day in April 9 to see firsthand the impact of their contributions.
