College of DuPage to Host Study Abroad Open House on Oct. 9

The College of DuPage Field and Experiential Learning program will host its "Study Abroad 2015" Open House from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Student Services Center, Room 3245, on the College's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., in Glen Ellyn.

This event is free and open to the public.

During the event, attendees will learn about study abroad and language immersion opportunities to locations around the world including China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Japan and Spain. Program directors and former participants will be on hand during the open house to provide information and answer questions. In addition, a raffle prize drawing will be held.

The Study Abroad program at College of DuPage combines classroom study with month-long language-immersion trips during the summer. Participating students can earn up to seven credits in language and humanities courses.

The Field and Experiential Learning, Study Abroad and Global Education department also offers a variety of classes that use the world as their classroom, including a large Outdoor Adventure program and domestic and international classes in a broad range of subjects. The College has offered many successful international trips since 1970 and has taken students to more than 80 countries spanning all seven continents.
