Skuddlebutts Pizza and Catering of Downers Grove will be the food and beverage provider for the 1st Annual First Responders Challenge/Family Fun Day to be held in Fishel Park on Saturday, September 13 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The company started out as Ed's Tavern on Belmont in Downers Grove in 1939, and has since grown, changed names and opened its doors in a new location in Downers Grove at 440 Ogden Avenue.

What has remained constant over the last 74 years is the company's sincere commitment to using only the highest quality ingredients while providing innovative, unique recipes and menu selections. That doesn't make mention of the high-level service mentality that delights and inspires loyalty among its strong customer and client base.

In addition to the vast selections of menu items for dine-in, carry-out, delivery or catering - pizza has always been a star since the company was founded.

Hand-rolled daily crust selections include thin, Chicago pan, whole wheat thin, stuffed and Gluten free. Only premium meats and vegetable toppings chopped up fresh in-house are used to preserve the high quality standards set decades ago.

A wide array of catering services are available, including the extremely popular Backyard BBQ Concept. Two cooks arrive at your home or other venue with charcoal grills and prepare your menu selections on-site. Skuddlebutts handles everything from set-up to clean-up, so you can enjoy time with family, friends and/or business associates.
