Our April Fashion Show, A Waterfall of Fashion in Grand Majestic Style, was a rousing success! Over 350 women attended one of the premiere fashion shows in the Chicago area, held at The Stonegate Conference Centre. Guests were treated to a fabulous preview of 2013's spring fashion collections, shopping, a delectable luncheon, silent auction and raffles.
Through this event, as well as our fall 2012 holiday event and individual donations, WCI is proud to have raised $52,500 for the club's 2012-2013 fiscal year.
WCI will fund twenty $1,000 scholarships for area high school and college students, including adults returning to college, living in the area served by High School Districts 211 and 220. The recipients are carefully selected based on academic achievement, application quality and financial need. This year's scholarship winners and their original area schools include: Jenna Lee (Barrington HS); Mariah Ghant, Agnes Kowalski, Andriana Krivonosov, Dana Lindquist and Catherine Reff (Conant HS); Flavio Kola, Emily Manley, Jessica Miller and Dan Quinn (William Fremd HS); Betti Varga (Harper); Sana Quadri and Sana Shafiuddin (Hoffman Estates HS); Michael Anderson, Nevena Neskoska and Joana Quillo (Palatine HS); Valerie Anderson, Nabeel Qureshi, Kacper Wasilewski and Weronika Wasilewski (Schaumburg HS). Congratulations to each of these outstanding students!
