May is National Water Safety Month
Arvidson Pools & Spas is celebrating National Water Safety Month
Palatine, Illinois – Arvidson Pools & Spas is supporting National Water Safety Month with special in-store promotions aimed at educating area swimmers about the importance of water safety. Consumers may visit any of our store locations in Palatine, Crystal Lake, or St. Charles to pick up free safety publications and coloring books for their children. In addition, children of all ages are encouraged to take the Safe Swimmer Pledge designed to educate them about safe water practices. Upon completion of the pledge, they will receive a Safe Swimmer Certificate.
“Arvidson Pools & Spas is committed to ensuring consumer safety,” said Dennis Marunde, President. "We want to remind our customers that all drains must be protected by an approved cover, layers of protection must be provided around your pool or spa and to always make sure there is adult supervision whenever children are in or around the pool,” Marunde said.
National Water Safety Month is coordinated by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) along with its partners, including the American Red Cross, the National Recreation and Park Association, the World Waterpark Association, and a host of swim organizations.
Swimming is one of the best exercises and also provides fun and enjoyment for friends and family.
