Benet 6, West Chicago 5:

Trailing 5-3, the Redwings (4-3) scored 3 runs in the top of the seventh to claim victory in the DVC-ESCC Challenge at Lisle's Benedictine University. Chris Whelan singled home a run, Pat McInerney was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Kevin Jendra put Benet ahead to stay with an RBI groundout. Brendan Pullen was the winning pitcher in relief. Ryan Koester went 2-for-4 for West Chicago (3-4) while Antonio Solis and Matt Wenz drove in runs.

Waubonsie Valley 8, Larkin 0:

Tyler Hasper fired a 1-hitter with 7 strikeouts for the Warriors (3-4, 2-1) in their Upstate Eight Conference win. C.J. Lee went 4-for-4 while Ben Vietri had 3 RBI. Hasper, Troy Fumagalli and Tad Wagner each had 2 hits.

Lake Park 6, Geneva 0:

The Lancers scored all their runs in the first three innings and Mark Pall improved to 2-0 on the mound with a 1-hitter in the Upstate Eight Conference.

Naperville Central 4, Joliet Catholic 2:

The Redhawks (4-2) scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to break a 2-2 tie and win in the DVC-ESCC Challenge at Lisle's Benedictine University. Jimmy Nashert scored on a wild pitch and Ryan Avers scored on an error. Zach Aranoff allowed 3 hits over 6 innings to earn the win. Pat Maloney's scoreless seventh earned the save.

Glenbard East 9, York 8:

The Rams (4-8) held off a fierce rally from York (3-5), which scored 6 runs in the sixth inning. Joe Kotch went 3-for-3 for Glenbard East while Tyler Berhendt, winning pitcher Nick Vichio, John Allen and Mike Hansen all had 2 hits. Josh Paparone launched a grand slam home run for York that highlighted the sixth-inning rally.

Metea Valley 5, Streamwood 4:

The Mustangs (3-3, 2-1) broke out to a 5-0 lead and held on for the Upstate Eight Conference victory. Jose Gomez scattered 6 hits over 6 innings to notch the victory. Andrew Fox, Mike Fitzgerald, Connor Archey, Gunner Vega and Trevor Duff all drove in runs.

Downers South 3, Naperville North 2:

The Huskies (3-2) scored twice in the top of the seventh, but Downers South (7-2) held on for the victory. Zack Burdi, who earned the save for winning pitcher Alex Galik, went 2-for-2 while Danny Mayer also had 2 hits. Pat Mollo drove in a run for Naperville North and Alex Garon had 2 hits.

Elk Grove 4, WW South 1:

Zach Moberg homered and Matt Walsh went 3-for-4 for the Tigers (4-3) in their nonconference loss.
