Mass planned to honor Sacred Heart alumni

Graduates of Sacred Heart of Mary High School in Rolling Meadows — the former all-girls Catholic school that closed 25 years ago — will be honored with a special mass at St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights early next year.

The Feb. 10 mass will honor Sacred Heart graduates, and organizers are looking for alumni to get involved early to help plan.

For more than two decades, St. Viator and Sacred Heart were partner schools, until St. Viator became coed in the late 1980s, said Jim Murphy, director of alumni relations.

“Sacred Heart has a very significant and rich tradition in Catholic education and the women who graduated from the school have gone on to great success,” Murphy said.

Any graduates who would like to help plan the event should contact Murphy at (847) 392-4050, ext. 259
