Zumba-thon at Chevy Chase Country Club June 28
On Thursday, June 28, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm, a Zumba-thon to benefit the American Cancer Society will rock the historic Grand Ballroom at Chevy Chase Country Club.
Two of the Chicago area's top Zumba instructors, Barb Klontz and Arleta Thursby, will lead the 90-minute Zumba workout on the 5,000 square-foot hardwood ballroom dance floor. Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance fitness program that blends red-hot music and contagious steps for a workout party that is fun for all ages. The Zumba-thon is a great way to “get your sweat on” for a good cause. Everyone is invited to join in so bring a friend or two to experience Zumba!
Registration begins at 6 pm on June 28. Admission is $15 at the door. An early registration rate of $10 is available to those who register prior to the day of the event by calling (847) 465-3333.
Participants are encouraged to socialize after Zumba in the Abbey area of the ballroom. Raffles, vendor exhibits, and cash bar will be available. Jewelry and health and beauty products including Mary Kay, Avon, PartyLite, Lia Sophia, Shakeology, Tastefully Simple, Thirty-One Gifts, and Ultimate Girl Accessories Jewelry and Scarves, will be on display. Specialized services like licensed massage therapy and a registered dietician also will be represented.
Chevy Chase Country Club is located at 1000 North Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling, just north of Lake Cook Road.
