As student council president made Hillcrest one of the service opportunities, so each Saturday a group of kids goes to visit. Organizes Movie Night at the school. Volunteers at Masjid-al Badri during the fasting month and other religious holidays to help serve during meals; and as a teacher’s aide at mosque school.

Community service: Volunteers with Big Shoulders Fund, cleaning, painting and doing outdoor work at underprivileged schools; also helps Big Shoulders get the summer golf outing together, which raises money for scholarships for inner-city kids. This year, organized it. Volunteers at St. Malachy’s, cleaning the attic of the school and helping the teachers with whatever they needed, and playing with the kids. Helped provide food and a Jewel gift card for a needy family at Thanksgiving. In charge of making sure everyone brings in her food and money; on pickup day she loads the boxes of food into the Catholic Charities van.

Community service: Helped reactivate the Future Business Leaders of America chapter at Wauconda High School; Connor is currently president of the 150-member club. Through FBLA he picked apples for a local food pantry, cleaned an animal shelter for Make A Difference Day and cleaned yards. Tutors math and volunteered for the Wauconda Triathlon.
