Apply Now for Summer and Fall Term Adult Student Awards
Adult students can now apply for the partial-tuition Adult Student Award for the summer and fall terms.
The Enrollment Management office will award 40 scholarships for both the summer and fall 2012 semesters that cover 50 percent of the in-district tuition rates. The application deadline is Tuesday, May 1, for summer and Wednesday, Aug. 1, for fall. Recipients will be notified before the start of each term.
Applicants must be 19 years of age or older, be a first-time degree- or certificate-seeking student (former COD students may apply but must have attended before fall 2009 and not earned a degree or certificate), and have a 3.0 out of a 4.0 GPA (4.0/5.0 weighted scale) from the most recent institution accredited. In addition, applicants must complete the general admission form for College of DuPage and pay the $20 admission fee before applying for the Adult Student Award.
Students who accept the award are expected to enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (not including developmental courses), maintain a 3.0 minimum GPA and enroll in a degree or certificate program (certificate programs must be a minimum of 12 semester hours). The award is renewable for up to 64 hours if the student maintains the renewal criteria and pays half of College of DuPage in-district tuition.
