'Open Mosque Day' offered Sept. 8

Do you want to know about Islam from your Muslim neighbors and local Islamic scholars? If yes, come to an event titled "Open Mosque Day" on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The GainPeace and Muslim Society Inc. will host the event at 1785 Bloomingdale Road, Glendale Heights, Illinois 60139.

The community-centered event will include activities for all ages, like face painting, henna design, complimentary food, a Q & A session, a basic presentation on Islam, and "Meet the Imam" session and much more.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served at the end of presentation.
