'Iranian Politics and Society: Domestic and International Challenges' at COD Oct. 9

The Middle East Committee at College of DuPage will host "Iranian Politics and Society: Domestic and International Challenges" from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Health and Science Center, Room 1234, on the college's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

This program is free and open to the public.

Presented by Dr. Kaveh Ehsani, assistant professor of international studies at DePaul University, this session will focus on Iran's role in recent social and political transformations in Central Asia, the Persian Gulf and the Middle East.

Ehsani will provide an historical, social and political analysis of Iran's recent past, as well as Iran's regional and foreign policies in the context of turbulent domestic politics and dynamically emerging social changes in the area in recent years.
