  You meet nice people when you're out wandering around looking for pictures. I was making the rounds in Algonquin during the flooding when I spotted John Vanantwerp sitting on his front porch on La Fox River Drive talking to another passerby. I shot a few photos of his reflection in door and then it was my turn to talk. As a 35-year resident of his historic home he had a good perspective on the flood and what you can and can't do about it. It was a welcome break in my day.
