Believe Project: $100 to help family fraught with medical problems

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Monica Glavey of Wauconda.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

"I would give $100 to a Wauconda family that has five girls. Two of the girls have/had cancer and one of the oldest girls has a heart problem and had her 19th surgery in December. Their 14-year-old and the mom have been in Cincinnati for chemotherapy and radiation. The money would help pay for gas. They are an amazing family and continue to have faith and stay positive during all of this. Check out their Facebook site - Help the Johnson Family - to read about them."

• The Believe Project will mail a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else. Email us your pitch of 100 words or fewer (include your name, address and hometown) to specialevents@dailyherald.com.
