Believe Project: $100 to go toward memorial bench for friend

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Joanne Cecchini of Sleepy Hollow.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

"One of my co-workers sadly lost her younger brother in 2014. She is saving to purchase a memorial bench to be placed at the botanic garden in his town. If I was awarded the $100, I would give it to my co-worker in memory of her brother."

• The Believe Project will mail a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else. Email us your pitch of 100 words or fewer (include your name, address and hometown) to specialevents@dailyherald.com.
