Waterleaf to Host Round Pond Winery Dinner, Aug. 20

Waterleaf restaurant in Glen Ellyn will celebrate the renowned wines of Round Pond Estate Winery during an exclusive five-course dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

The evening will begin with a champagne reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Miles MacDonnell, owner of Round Pond Estate Winery, will be on hand throughout the evening to introduce the wines and answer questions. The price of this exclusive five course dinner is $75 plus tax and gratuity.

Executive Chef Nadia Tilkian has prepared a seasonal menu paired with carefully selected wines from the famed Napa Valley Winery. The dinner will begin with Bay Scallop Ceviche with nectarine, pear and mandarin oranges paired with 2013 Round Pond Estate Sauvignon Blanc Estate, Napa Valley. The second course will include Salad of Spiced Blackberries, baby arugula with goat cheese cream paired with 2013 Round Pond Estate Rosata Di Nebbiolo, Rutherford, Nappa Valley. The third course will feature Lamb Steak with roasted garlics, mushrooms, marble cabernet and cabernet reduction paired with 2012 Round Pond Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley. For the fourth course, guests will enjoy a selection of Artisanal cheeses paired with 2010 Round Pond Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford, Napa Valley. Completing the meal will be Lemon-Lavender Gateaux served with fresh blueberries.
