June/July 'Images' Highlights Commencement, Portrait Project

“Images,” College of DuPage's monthly one-half hour television show, features in its June/July edition segments on the College's 45th Annual Commencement Ceremony and a recent collaboration between COD art students and a Catholic elementary school in Chicago.

Each month, Images highlights the personalities, news and curriculum of a vibrant College of DuPage campus. The show airs on 13 area cable television stations.

The June/July Images highlights the College's 45th Annual Commencement Ceremony. A celebration of the achievements of the 2012 class, the ceremony included comments from College President Dr. Robert L. Breuder, Board Chairman David Carlin and this year's Outstanding Students Alexa Alianello and Chandrika Gopal.

The June/July Images also features a segment on the recent collaboration between students of Art Professor Jennifer Hereth and Maternity Blessed Virgin Mother elementary school in Chicago. COD students created 40 portraits of current and former Maternity BVM students to commemorate the school's 100th year. They also spent time with students at the school, helping them create and install their own works of art.

Also featured is a segment on the continued partnership between the College and Habitat for Humanity. For the last several semesters, COD architecture students have worked with the organization to help design and construct sustainable living.

Images airs at various times on cable television stations in Downers Grove, Wheaton, Addison, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Glendale Heights, Bartlett, Lemont, Elk Grove, Darien, Aurora and West Chicago. Check local cable listings for times and channels.
