Lecture to explore 'Conscience and the Common Good'
Wheaton College's Political Science and International Relations Department is hosting the Kamm Memorial Lecture on Jurisprudence at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15.
This year's lecture, titled "Conscience and the Common Good," is given by Robert Vischer, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at St. Thomas University.
Dr. Vischer's expertise includes the intersection of law, religion, and public policy, with a focus on the religious and moral dimensions of professional identity. Author of "Conscience and the Common Good: Reclaiming the Space Between Person and State," he is currently working on a new book titled "Love & Justice: Martin Luther King's Lessons for Lawyers." He was voted Professor of the Year by St. Thomas University's graduating class in 2008 and 2011, and he received the school's Dean's Award for Outstanding Teaching in 2007.
Free and open to the public, the Kamm Memorial Lecture takes place in Blanchard Hall, room 339. Blanchard Hall is located at 501 College Ave. on the Wheaton College campus.
