COD Presidential Scholars exemplify academic excellence

Touting an average ACT score of 30 and an average GPA of 3.84/4.0, the recently named College of DuPage Presidential Scholars represent the very “best of the best” in terms of area high school graduates, said Earl Dowling, COD associate vice president of Enrollment Management.

“The 56 students selected for this award epitomize academic excellence,” Dowling said. “We're pleased to offer these students a full-tuition scholarship for their first two years of college. They deserve it.”

The Presidential Scholars for the 2011-2012 academic year receive full-tuition scholarships for up to 64 credit hours. Students also receive admission into the Honors Program and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

“These are students who could have chosen any college or university in the nation, but selected College of DuPage,” Dowling said. “They will be an asset to their fellow students, their instructors and the overall learning environment at COD.”
