Glenbard North takes series from Wheaton North

Glenbard North 7, Wheaton North 2:The Panthers (15-8, 9-5), who broke out to a 7-0 lead after two innings, completed their DuPage Valley Conference series with Wheaton North (15-7, 10-5) by taking two out of three games. Jake Kline went 2-for-3 with a homer and 3 RBI. Brandon Clark had 2 RBI. Ryan Jordan and John Peltz drove in runs for the Falcons.Addison Trail 3-1, Downers South 2-5:The Blazers (12-11, 7-7) claimed Game 1 of the West Suburban Gold doubleheader behind the pitching of Mike Imperiale (3-2), who allowed 2 hits and an earned run in 5 innings. He and Scott Babica drove in runs as Matt Wivinis took the loss for Downers South. Sophomore Brian Glowicki pitched a 2-hitter with 11 strikeouts in the second game for Downers South (15-9, 8-5). Willowbrook 3-6, Morton 2-1:The Warriors (12-10, 7-7) swept in the West Suburban Gold after claiming Game 1 with a 3-run rally in the top of the seventh. Dan Johnson fired a 2-hitter with 7 strikeouts. Tyler Adams went 3-for-4 with an RBI in Game 2, which featured another complete game by Matt Tiberi, who struck out nine and walked none in a 4-hitter. Lake Park 11-11, East Aurora 10-4:The Lancers (14-11, 10-8 Upstate Eight Conference Valley Division) needed a big rally in the opener to set the stage for a doubleheader sweep. Trailing 10-5 Lake Park came back to win, starting with a 2-run homer by Zach Tsiodras, who went 4-for-4 with 5 RBI, in the bottom of the sixth. A 2-run homer by Tom Spear tied it in the bottom of the seventh and a bases-loaded walk to Ryan Castello won it. Jeremy Olenek was the winning pitcher. Eric Vatch improved to 4-0 in Game 2, helped by another big game from Tsiodras, who went 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI.Timothy Christian 10-11, Northridge Prep 4-10:Jon Penczak went a combined 4-for-6 with 7 RBI as the Trojans (6-13) swept the nonconference doubleheader. Aaron Snoeyink and Alex Zarek were the winning pitchers.
