Wheaton North loses third-place game

Glenbrook South 52, Wheaton North 48:

Fantasia Vine, named co-tournament MVP with Hersey's Megan Rogowski, had 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists for the host Falcons (9-4) in the Bill Neibch Falcon Holiday Classic third-place game. Lauren Graham added 14 points for Wheaton North, who trailed 47-36 midway through the fourth quarter but stormed back to have two shots for the tie and lead miss in the final minute. Abby Keller scored 14 points and Kelly Minx 13 for Glenbrook South (11-5).

Glenbard South 53, Schaumburg 45:

Down a point at half, the Raiders outscored the Saxons 23-4 in the third quarter to take fifth place at the Bill Neibch Falcon Holiday Classic. Nevena Markovic led the way for Glenbard South (13-2) with 28 points. Patrice Hicks added 11 and Danielle Chitkowski 10.

Downers Grove North 46, Elk Grove 43:

Katie Hunzinger scored 17 points for the Trojans (9-5) in the seventh-place game at the Bill Neibch Falcon Holiday Classic. Mary Echemann chipped in 11 points and Amelia Echemann 10.

Willowbrook 54, Hinsdale Central 52:

Ellen Wright scored 14 points for the Warriors (4-11), who took 11th at the Bill Neibch Falcon Holiday Classic. For Hinsdale Central (1-14) Christine Rush poured in 27 points, finishing the tournament with 103 points in four games.

Glenbard North 43, Jacobs 28:

Brianna Harn scored 13 of her 15 points in the first half for the Panthers (4-10), who took 13th at the Bill Neibch Falcon Holiday Classic.

WW South 37, DeKalb 33:

Hannah Credille poured in 18 points to pace the Tigers (9-5), who won their last two games at the Benet/Naperville North Tournament.

York 43, Providence 38:

Meryl Cripe scored 10 points, going 6-for-6 at the free throw line in the fourth quarter, and Mary Colon had 9 points for the Dukes (8-6) at the Benet/Naperville North Tournament. York made 22 of its 25 free throws.
