Naperville Central ends Lake Park's win streak
Naperville Central 7, Lake Park 1: Alyssa Wunderlich (10-4) struck out eight and slugged a solo homer to start a 5-run Redhawks second inning in Roselle.
Meghan Griffin went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 runs batted in and Kelsey Gonzalez a double, 2 runs scored and an RBI for No. 17 Naperville Central (13-8), which snapped No. 7 Lake Park's 12-game winning streak. Alyssa Robison had a double for Lake Park (19-4).
Benet 5, Oswego East 0: Maeve McGuire went 2-for-4 with a double, 3 RBI and a run scored for the Redwings (13-9), who won their eighth in a row. Allyson Staats (11-6) scattered 6 hits, striking out six.
Glenbard North 4, WW South 2: Alyssa Jasinski and Natalie Shank both went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Jasinski also driving in a run for the No. 8 Panthers (12-5, 4-2 DuPage Valley Conference) in Carol Stream. Winning pitcher Lilly Fecho (10-5) had 5 strikeouts.
Lisle 6, Dwight 3: Jackie Todd went 4-for-4 with 2 RBI and scored a run for the visiting Lions (8-8, 5-4 Interstate Eight Conference), who scored 3 runs in the top of the seventh to snap a 3-3 tie.
Breanne Prindeville went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 runs scored and Bekka Houda (5-4) struck out nine.
Montini 10, Chicago Christian 4: Tori Shipbaugh slammed a 3-run homer in the bottom of the first, part of a 10-hit Broncos attack in Lombard. Val Pater went 3-for-4, scored 3 runs and drove in a run for Montini (11-12, 8-2 Suburban Christian Conference).
Fenton 6, Wheaton Academy 1: Marissa Vazquez struck out eight in a three-hitter in West Chicago, and also went 3-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored. Candice Rivera went 2-for-4 and scored a run for Fenton (9-12). Kelly Nemec singled and scored the only run on an error for Wheaton Academy (11-8) in the fifth.
