McHenry d. Dundee-Crown: The Chargers (4-6) suffered a tough Fox Valley Conference Valley Division loss, 25-13, 25-18. Alexis Holm and Rebecca Wika led Dundee-Crown's offense with 4 and 3 kills respectively while Lindsay Mosher added 5 assists. Tanna Svec paced the defense with 15 digs.
Larkin d. East Aurora: The Royals (1-9, 1-1) picked up their first victory of the season in this Upstate Eight Conference match downing East Aurora 25-14, 25-17 at home. Stacie Beaver led the Royals with 6 kills, 3 of which came all in a row to end the second game. Amanda Lye recorded 4 kills, 1 block, and 3 aces while Lexi Smithberg added 2 aces and 10 assists.
Bartlett d. Lake Park: The Hawks (12-3-1, 2-1) easily handled Lake Park 25-16, 25-12 in this Upstate Eight Conference victory on the road. Carly Sahagian excelled at the net registering 17 kills on 22 attempts while Alyssa Cazzato added 18 assists. Lauren Hartford proved to be a big presence at the net recording 4 blocks.
St. Charles North d. South Elgin: The Strom (1-7-1, 0-3) remained winless in Upstate Eight Conference play as they suffered a 25-11, 25-20 home loss to St. Charles North. Sarah Havermann led the Hawks defensively with 10 digs while Laura Balanco had a team high 4 kills. Alyssa Krause added 3 aces from the serving line.
Crystal Lake South d. Jacobs: The Golden Eagles (3-7, 0-1) came up just short in their first Fox Valley (Valley) matchup falling 25-18, 25-15 to Crystal Lake South. Mattie Stearns and Rebecca Jobst led Jacobs' defensive efforts with 14 and 13 digs respectively while Taylor Lesner led the offense with 5 kills. Quinn Luehring added 5 assists.
Westminster Christian d. Keith School: The Warriors (8-5, 1-1) were able to pull out a Northeast Conference road victory defeating Keith School 25-15, 25-21. Jessica Benson (10 kills, 7 digs), Cara Tyrrell (6 kills, 6 digs, 4 assists), and Hannah Graves (21 assists, 2 digs, 2 kills) all contributed in the Warriors' victory.
