The auxiliary has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships since 1977.

The auxiliary committee members consider academic achievement, financial need, extra curricular activities, a personal essay and letters of recommendation in their decisions.

The auxiliary scholarship program is funded with the help of EFS Foundation and funds raised from auxiliary activities.

Carole Bailey, chairwoman of this year's scholarship committee, advises incoming seniors interested in health careers to ask their guidance counselor for a scholarship application in January 2019.
