Introduction to Mental Health First Aid at St. Philip's Episcopal Church Oct. 1

Robert Skrocki, LCSW, Mental Health Ministry Developent coordinator at SamaraCare and a certified instructor in Mental Health First Aid, will give a presentation about Mental Health First Aid on October 1st at 11:00AM in the main meeting room at St. Philip's Episcopal Church located at 342 East Wood Street, Palatine Illinois. Mental Health First Aid USA is a public education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention and teaches individuals how to help a person in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. This brief introduction to the class will highlight the main steps in providing support and assistance, the resources available and how to register for (or host) a mental health first aid class. Mr. Skrocki will present the information and answer questions.
