Chef Alain Roby to speak to Fox Valley Newcomers Club

On Wednesday, May 17, members of Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors Club and guests can look forward to listening to Chef Alain Roby of All Chocolate Kitchen in Geneva speak at the May luncheon. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. at Prairie Landing Golf Club, 2325 Longest Drive in West Chicago.

Roby is an internationally known pastry chef, holds three Guinness World Records and has had his creations appear on Food Network and The Learning Channel. He has won over 20 culinary awards throughout his career, but here in the Fox Valley he is known for being owner of All Chocolate Kitchen, a chocolate and pastry shop in Geneva.

A tasty lunch of house salad followed by a choice of Capellini Margareta Pasta (sautéed boneless breasted chicken, fine herbs, garlic, San Marzano tomatoes and white wine tossed with capellini pasta topped with Parmesan Reggiano cheese) or Champagne Strudel (oven-roasted chicken, button mushrooms, fine herbed velouté and roasted root vegetables, wrapped in phyllo dough served with truffle mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables). A dessert of chocolate lava cake, coffee or iced tea are also included.

The club will be selling raffle tickets for a 50/50 drawing to benefit Safe Families for Children.

This event is open to guests for a $30 fee.
