College of DuPage and Purdue University Calumet Announce Enhanced 2+2 Articulation Agreement for Bachelor of Science in Nursing

College of DuPage and Purdue University Calumet have announced a new Enhanced 2+2 articulation agreement that results in the completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree earned at Purdue University Calumet (PUC).

Through this agreement, Purdue University Calumet will accept students with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree from COD who may transfer and apply up to 86 credit hours to fulfill degree requirements for PUC Professional Nursing Pathways Online Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Program. With this arrangement, COD Nursing graduates could take additional credits from COD, transfer to PUC, and complete the remaining 34 credits online and receive a BSN degree from PUC.

"This agreement provides our students with a seamless transfer experience and the opportunity to earn a degree from a prestigious university that prepares them for highly sought-after nursing positions at the BSN level," said Emmanuel Awuah, COD Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs. "We are very pleased to offer this opportunity for our students. The online component of this program provides access for many students who might otherwise not have the opportunity to complete this program."

Lisa Hopp, Interim Dean of Purdue University Calumet's College of Nursing, echoed Awuah's praise.

"We are pleased to enter into this agreement which enables College of DuPage graduates a seamless opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue Calumet," Hopp said. "As part of our Professional Nursing Pathways Program, those who graduate from the COD associate degree program with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher can articulate into our program and earn a BSN in as few as 15 months."
