June 28: Enkare Fashion Show at CLC to benefit bringing clean drinking water to Kenya

A benefit event featuring fashions from around the world, plus dance, live music, an art auction, world market vendors and fair trade products, will be held at the College of Lake County C Wing Auditorium at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 28.

The event benefits My Chosen Vessels, and is being co-sponsored by the CLC Women's Center, Multicultural Student Center and Environmental Club. "Enkare Fashion Submerged" brings together artists from all parts of the world to raise funds to provide clean drinking water to indigenous people. Enkare is the word for water in Maa (Maasai Language).

My Chosen Vessels, a nonprofit organization, raises funds to provide clean drinking water and sanitation training to the Maasai Tribe in Kenya, Africa, through its Sustainable Clean Water for Life Program.

Tickets may be purchased online at http://www.enkarefashion.com/ or at the door of the C Wing Auditorium on the Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St., beginning at 4 p.m. June 28.

Tickets: Adults $25 at the door, $20 online by June 15; Students: $15 at the door, $10 online by June 15; Children: $15, $10 online by June 15. Front-row seats are $50.
