Metea Valley 4, Bartlett 2: The Hawks outhit visiting Metea Valley 6-4, but the Mustangs used a 4-run sixth inning to prevail in the UEC Valley. Colin Nowak doubled and drove in 2 runs for Bartlett (14-13, 13-12). Nowak (2-3) also absorbed the loss on the mound despite holding Metea Valley (15-14, 13-12) to 4 earned runs on 4 hits. He walked 2 and struck out 8 in 7 innings.

South Elgin 18, East Aurora 2: The Storm collected 16 hits in this Upstate Eight River road win. Nick Binder smacked 3 doubles, drove in a run and scored twice, Ryan Stancl homered and drove in 3 runs and Joe Crivolio doubled and scored twice. Winning pitcher David Palmer (2-3) held the Tomcats scoreless on 3 hits over 4 innings to earn the win for South Elgin (15-14, 14-11).

Elgin 5, St. Charles North 4: The Maroons tied this UEC River game on Ethan Henke's 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh and won it on a bases-loaded walk in the eighth. Omar Valadez had 3 hits and Tanner Bednar and Nick Turner each notched 2 hits for Elgin (7-21, 6-19). Turner (1-5) pitched all 8 innings for his first win. He allowed 4 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits, walked 4 and struck out 4.
