Lake Park 1, St. Charles North 0:

Christian Taugner pitched a 1-hitter with 14 strikeouts and no walks as the Lancers (8-1, 4-1) pulled out a close one in the Upstate Eight Conference. Sam Klco scored the game's only run in the bottom of the fourth on an error. Tom Spear had 2 of Lake Park's 3 hits.

Glenbard North 6, West Chicago 0:

Matt Frawley pitched a 1-hitter with 9 strikeouts and no walks for the Panthers (4-4, 2-0) in their DuPage Valley Conference win over West Chicago (3-6, 0-2). Ryan Storto and Vincent Slobodecki, who drove in 2 runs, had 2 hits apiece.

Wheaton North 2, Naperville North 1:

Tom Cassier's RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning gave the Falcons (9-1, 2-0) their second straight DuPage Valley Conference win over Naperville North (4-4, 0-2). Winning pitcher Tom Colletti, who also drove in Wheaton North's first run, struck out 10, walked none and allowed no earned runs in the complete game. John Sagen went 2-for-3 for Naperville North.

WW South 3, West Aurora 2:

The Tigers (6-3, 2-0) scored all their runs in the bottom of the sixth to win the DuPage Valley Conference game despite managing only 1 hit from Eric Giltz. Justin Kelly and Rich O'Neil each drove in runs. Brett Streubing struck out eight and walked none in a 4-hitter.

Neuqua Valley 7, Larkin 1:

Dylan Goss and Drew Sterioti had 2 hits apiece for the Wildcats (8-3, 5-0), who stayed unbeaten in the Upstate Eight Conference. Alex Wolanski homered for Neuqua Valley. Winning pitcher David Gerber pitched a 2-hitter with 7 strikeouts in 6 innings.

Waubonsie Valley 3, Elgin 2:

Tyler Hasper and Troy Fumagalli each had 2 hits with an RBI as the Warriors (4-5, 3-2) won in the Upstate Eight Conference. Julian Langford scattered 5 hits in the complete-game victory.

Downers North 7, Lyons Twp. 2:

The Trojans (5-2, 5-1) took two out of three from Lyons Twp. in their West Suburban Silver series. Troy Southard doubled twice and drove in 3 runs. Joe Provenzano also had 2 hits. Lucas Fisher was the complete-game winning pitcher.

Benet 8, Conant 3:

A 5-run bottom of the fifth inning highlighted the nonconference win for the Redwings (6-3). Chris Whelan allowed 1 hit over 6 innings to earn the win. Tony Predey notched the save. Joe Boyle went 2-for-4 with a triple and 3 RBI. Ryan Raupach went 3-for-4 with a triple.

Montini 4, Wheaton Academy 3:

The Broncos scored all their runs in the top of the fourth inning and held off a Wheaton Academy rally in the seventh to pull out the Suburban Christian Conference victory. Tyler Tumpane went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI. Chris Bartosz also had 2 hits. Winning pitcher Tyler Quick struck out seven over 6 innings. Sam Perna went 2-for-3 for Wheaton Academy.

Glenbard South 11, Elmwood Park 1:

Tony Tenuta went 4-for-4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI as the Raiders (6-2, 4-0) stayed unbeaten in the Metro Suburban Conference. Ethan Gasbarro fired a 1-hitter with 8 strikeouts in the 6-inning win. Will Cornwell went 3-for-3 with 3 RBI.

Downers South 6, Hinsdale South 4:

It took 12 innings but the Mustangs (9-3, 5-1) claimed victory in the West Suburban Gold. Zack Burdi and winning pitcher Danny Mayer each went 3-for-6. Don Buonavolanto homered for Hinsdale South.
