Pregnant volunteers needed for free fetal ultrasounds at COD

The Diagnostic Medical Imaging Sonography program at College of DuPage is seeking pregnant volunteers to participate in free evening scanning sessions.

The sessions will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, March 6 through mid-July. These sessions allow DMIS students to practice their scanning skills under the supervision of certified sonographers. Participants receive a “first photo” of their baby to take home and family members are welcome to observe.

The scans are not diagnostic tests, and reports are not issued. Volunteers are asked to obtain verbal permission from their physicians prior to the session.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call Terrie Ciez, DMIS program coordinator, at (630) 942-2436 or e-mail: ciezte@cod.edu.
