DuPage Homeownership Center Seeks Nominations for Christ Award
January 23, 2013 — The DuPage Homeownership Center is seeking nominations for the Robert Christ Affordable Housing Award. The award is named for Bob Christ, founding DHOC Board President, who was a leading affordable housing activist in DuPage County. The award will be presented at DHOC's 22nd Anniversary Celebration in June.

For more than 22 years, the nonprofit DuPage Homeownership Center has provided a full range of free services to promote responsible sustainable homeownership, with an emphasis on serving first-time homebuyers, low- and moderate-income households and counseling homeowners in crisis.
“The Robert Christ Affordable Housing Award is our highest honor, and represents a special dedication to affordable housing in DuPage County,” said DHOC Executive Director Debra Olson.
Some of the guidelines for the award selection will include: Significant achievement in promoting or creating affordable housing opportunities in DuPage County; Bringing about awareness of affordable housing issues, pioneering systemic change, forming alliances, sharing experience and counsel; and demonstration of partnerships or activities that leverage community resources.
