Fremd wins second straight dual
Fremd’s girls golf team continued to roll on Thursday at the Palatine Hill Golf Course.
After posting their best score (318) in coach Christine Vlaming’s four seasons on Tuesday by capturing first place in the Barrington Invite, the Vikings won their second straight dual meet.
Vikings senior Angie Kim fired a 2-over par 38 to earn medalist honors in a 161-178 victory over visiting Mundelein.
Junior Jennifer Kim (39), freshman Katie Hur (42) and junior Dorothy Feng (42) recorded the Vikings’ other three scores.
Rockford Guilford Invite: New Trier (333) edged Prospect (336) at the Rockford Invite. Barrington was eighth with a 390.
Stevenson senior Stephanie Miller earned medalist honors with a 75 while Noreen Caporusso (81) tied for fifth, carding the top score for Prospect.
Buffalo Grove d. Maine South: Senior Grace Kil shot a 1-over par 38 to lead the Bison to a 175-181 victory over Maine South at the Buffalo Grove Golf Course.
Amber Guiao (43), Courtney Meyer (44), Kelli Zickert (50) and Stacy Mantas (50) had the next best scores for BG, which was coming off a school-record 163 in a win over Deerfield on Wednesday.
