CLC hosts Engineering Internship and Job Fair

Engineering students looking for a job or internship can attend the fourth annual Lake County Engineering Internship and Job Fair from 1-3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, on Student Street at the College of Lake County's Grayslake Campus.

The event is sponsored by CLC, Lake County Partners, Lake County Workforce Development and HydraForce, a Lincolnshire-based manufacturer of hydraulic cartridge valves.

The event is open to all engineering students.

"We expect about 30 employers from Lake County to attend," said Gina Smith, Business and Industry coordinator for CLC's Career and Job Placement Center.

"This is a great opportunity to meet with leading companies, interview with top hiring managers and secure a permanent position or summer internship. Last year we had nearly 150 students attend."

All college students are welcome to interview with leading innovators in med-tech, automation, biopharma, precision manufacturing and other fields. Employers will be ready to hire industrial, mechanical, biomedical engineers and more.

Attendees should bring copies of their resume and business attire is strongly encouraged. Register for free at www.lakecountycareerevents.com/engineering.

"Businesses benefit from the strong pipeline of talent generated by Lake County's nationally recognized school systems and nearby engineering universities," said Kevin Considine, president and CEO of Lake County Partners.

"Now in its fourth year, this event has been a hugely popular way for companies to tap into hundreds of highly motivated students from colleges across the Midwest, and for those students to launch rewarding career paths straight out of college."
