Roosevelt University joins CLC's Guaranteed Transfer Admission program

The College of Lake County and Roosevelt University recently signed a Guaranteed Transfer Admission agreement. CLC students who transfer to Roosevelt to complete a bachelor's degree will be guaranteed acceptance while completing the requirements in their particular degree.

Karen Hlavin, CLC vice president for student development, said Roosevelt's academic reputation, variety of degree programs and close proximity to Lake County combine to make the university a great addition to CLC's Guaranteed Transfer Admission. "Through this partnership, we're offering our students yet another high-quality option in the Chicago area," Hlavin said. "We can now provide qualified students an opportunity to plan their transfer to Roosevelt several semesters in advance and take advantage of advising from both institutions."

Erica Poremba, M.B.A., Ed.D, executive director of community colleges & academic relations at Roosevelt University, said, "It's truly exciting to have established this agreement, as it helps provide a clearer academic transition for CLC transfer students continuing their studies at our university. We offer more than 120 degree programs and are one of the most ethnically diverse schools in the Midwest, according to U.S. News & World Report. And through our recently announced plan to acquire Robert Morris University, we will provide students with a wider array of majors than ever."
