It is the story of a world-weary aviator whose malfunctioning plane strands him in the middle of the Sahara Desert. There, he meets an imaginative boy who claims to hail from an unknown star. The Little Prince delights the aviator with stories of his adventures and teaches him the secret of what is really important in life, that "what is essential is invisible to the eye." The play, by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar and adapted from the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, is especially suited for ages 5 and up. When Agnes finds Tilly's Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly's refuge. This high-octane, dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and '90s pop culture offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
