Dec. 16: A Motown-inspired musical celebration rings in the season with the 'Masters of Soul Holiday Show' at CLC's James Lumber Center
In a festive, holiday-inspired performance, celebrate Motown's legendary songs and performances with the in the "Masters of Soul Holiday Show" at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 at the College of Lake County. The performance takes place in the Mainstage Theatre in the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts.
Providing the ultimate musical stroll down memory lane, the Virginia-based Masters of Soul feature seasoned vocalists and musicians who bring their virtuosic harmonies, stylish costumes and smooth moves to ring in the season. The 10-person cast consists of three lead male vocalists and three lead female vocalists backed by a four-piece band of seasoned musicians who have been touring together for decades. Masters of Soul have performed to numerous sold-out audiences and garnered rave reviews across the country at venues ranging from community theaters and universities to performing arts venues and concert halls. This show will feature hits from Gladys Knight & The Pips; Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell; Smokey Robinson & the Miracles; The Temptations; The Four Tops; Diana Ross & The Supremes; Martha Reeves & The Vandellas; Barry White; Sam and Dave; James Brown; and much more.
Tickets: $40/$35 for adults; $39/$34 for seniors, CLC staff and alumni; and $15 for CLC students and teens. Prices do not include an additional $2 per ticket facility fee.
