Nov. 8: CLC hosts Open House at all three campuses

Dreaming of a first or second career? Need to upgrade your skills? Looking to begin your first two years of college locally and transfer to a four-year program? Current high school students and their parents as well as returning adults are invited to see all the College of Lake County has to offer at an Open House Thursday, Nov. 8. The event will take place from 5-7 p.m. at the Grayslake, Waukegan (Lakeshore) and Vernon Hills (Southlake) Campuses.

Prospective students can do the following:

• Speak with faculty and staff about dozens of in-demand transfer and career programs, in areas from business to healthcare to STEM fields.

• Explore each campus, on tours that are offered continuously throughout event.

• Talk to current students and alumni about their experiences.

• Participate in interactive sessions to learn how to get started at CLC. The information sessions will take place at 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Each one also will cover how the college can help you pay for your education and how you can start at CLC and seamlessly transfer to more than 25 four-year institutions, using the Guaranteed Transfer Admission program.

Prospective students also can learn about athletics, more than 40 clubs and organizations and the wide variety of support services such as advising, counseling, career and job placement, financial aid, office for students with disabilities, student success programs, study abroad and tutoring.
